3rd Mid-Term Newsletter

We are grateful to Almighty God for the success of the first half of this term.

 Midterm Break:

The school will observe a two day midterm break from Friday 31st May and Monday 3rd June 2019. Classes resume Tuesday 4th June 2019.

Mid-term Assignment/ Projects: The midterm project has been assigned to the students, encourage your child to complete and submit the assignment on Tuesday 4th June 2019. The scores earned from the midterm project add to the overall result of the term. All secondary are urged to check and  complete their assignments online  – E-learning Portal


The SS3 students have completed The Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.  We thank God for HIS Grace and strength upon our SS3 students and we still pray God to grant them success.


The National Examination for SS3 students will commence on Monday 10th June. We advise our students not to relent in their studies

 Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination (BECE):

The JSS3 students have completed the National Basic Certificate Examination (BECE). The Rivers State Ministry of Education is yet to release the timetable for State Basic certificate examination (BECE). We advise students to be more committed in their studies.


Excursion is an extra-curricular activity that helps to improve the academic prowess of the learner. The students will be going to Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa for an excursion on Tuesday 16th July 2019.Encourage your child to attend by paying the sum of N2000 only.


The End of session/Prize-Giving-Ceremony holds on Friday 19th July 2019.

 2019 GRADUATING CLASSES: The SS3 and JSS3 students, Gold class and Daisy classes are the 2019 graduating classes.  The graduation gown is N2000 only. Payment should be made along with school fees and obtain your receipt. The Daisy students should be provided with black suit skirt/trousers; white shirt and a red bow- tie. The SS3 and JSS3 students will dress in black suit, blue shirt and maroon tie.

Endeavour to provide these attires to enable us celebrate our children.

 THE DRESS CODE: The Graduation/Prize giving day ceremony dress code for all the children is as stipulated below:

  1. The Nursery section: boys-sky blue shirt and black trousers, Girls –pink attire.
  2. Primary Scholars: Boys –purple shirt and black trousers, Girls-yellow attire.
  3. Secondary students: Boys Royal blue shirt and black trousers, Girls –wine red attire.

Children’s Day Celebration: The school participated in the children’s day celebration March pass organized by National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) Woji Unit. Chrysolite International School emerged the second position in the primary category.

 2019/2020 Admission / Entrance Examination:

Admission Exercise for the 2019/2020 Academic year has begun in earnest. The 1st batch entrance examination into Chrysolite Secondary School took place on Saturday 18th May, 2019. The entrance examination dates for 2nd and 3rd batches is as stated below:

  • 2nd Batch Saturday 22nd June, 2019
  • 3rd Batch Saturday 3rd August 2019

There will be Parents Teachers’ Association meeting in the second half of the term. The date will be communicated to you through SMS, WhatsApp and email. The PTA chairman, Mr.  Mba Etta and his team have implored members to attend the forth coming PTA meeting so that, they will contribute meaningfully to the welfare of the children.  He has assured members that he will be keeping to the meeting time which is from 10:00 am prompt to 12 noon.  Together we do it better!
