Dear Parents and Guardians,

Happy Valentine Great Chrysolite Parents!

Midterm break: The school will observe a two-day midterm break. The midterm break will commence on Friday 14th February 2020, and end on Monday 17th February 2020. Classes will resume on Tuesday 18th February 2020.

Midterm Test Result: The secondary students will access the midterm test result online through the schools website using the parent’s login details (Click here to Login). Mid-term projects: The midterm project has been assigned to the students, and it will be submitted on Tuesday 18th February 2020. The midterm project is part of the term’s assessment. Encourage your child to complete and submit the project at the right time.

External examination ’SSCE’ & NECO: The school has registered the SS3 students for the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE). The registration for Senior NECO is in progress. There is an intensive preparation for the examination taking place already in the school. We urge you to provide the necessary text books and learning aids that will facilitate their studies.

Junior Secondary Examination (JSCE): The registration of Junior Secondary students for the National and State Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is in progress. The registration is mandatory for all the JSS3 students.

HERITAGE DAY: The school will celebrate cultural day on Friday 3rd April 2020. On this day the students, staff and parents will dress in native attires to portray different ethnic groups in Nigeria.

The following tribes from the six geo-political zones have been chosen to be represented: Akwa/Cross, Rivers, Delta/Benin, Yoruba, Hausa and Ibo, hence students have been grouped into these tribes through balloting.  Each child will dress to represent the tribe he or she has picked.

Note therefore that your child may or may not represent the actual tribe. Please endeavour to provide the correct attire for the tribe your child is representing.

PTA Meeting:  The date for the second term Parents’ Teachers’ Association (PTA) general meeting will be communicated to you as soon as we resume from midterm break. Encourage the executive by attending meeting. Together we do it better!
